About Sue
Sue’s commitment to people is seen in her passion to help students and staff set goals and action toward meeting those goals. Sue’s work integrating improvement processes into classrooms and schools is where she has made the biggest impact on student learning. Focused on nurturing collective teacher efficacy, the schools Sue supported led the district in employee and parent engagement. Helping teachers and students find their voice has led to district improvements such as quadrupling the number of students taking and achieving in AP classes, opening academic learning opportunities to younger students and piloting new opportunities such as the high school debate team.
Prior to joining Huron Studer Education, Sue proudly served students, parents, and staff in the School District of Menomonee Falls (Wisconsin) for 35 years as an elementary teacher, Math Coach, RTI Coordinator, Curriculum Support Specialist and K-12 Enrichment Coordinator. Her service as a Learning and Improvement Specialist for the last eleven years in the district solidified her commitment to improvement and organizational excellence. Sue earned a master’s degree in curriculum from National Louis University and is certified by the State of Wisconsin as a Gifted and Talented Coordinator. She served on the Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted Board for 11 years, including two years as President. In 2019, she was part of the author team for the publication Advanced and Accelerated Learning in Wisconsin: Moving Wisconsin Students Forward. Sue was named Employee of Distinction in 2022.
