Charlotte is a leader coach with industry experience in K-12 and University settings. She brings decades of experience in continuous improvement, organizational efficiency, instructional enhancement, and student growth.
 
 

About Charlotte

Prior to joining Studer Education, Charlotte served K-12 education as a district leader, school-based instructional coach, and teacher. Her higher education experience includes work as an associate professor, assistant dean, department director, and professional development designer. Charlotte works with school leaders to develop systems of high performance while ensuring student success. Charlotte’s professional experience includes positions in K-12 and post-secondary education.
 
K-12 Education:
In the K-12 arena, Charlotte served as a teacher, instructional coach, and district leader. Charlotte taught elementary students in the public schools of Florida, Georgia, and Maryland. Additionally, Charlotte held teaching positions with the Department of Defense Dependent Schools (currently DODEA) overseas and stateside (Section 6). As a classroom teacher, Charlotte held teacher-leader positions such as grade level chair, professional development provider, Professional Learning Community (PLC) chair, Community Liaison, and others.
 
In K-12 leadership roles, Charlotte worked as an Instructional Coach providing direct support for school-based administrators and teachers in a range of schools including those challenged by poverty-related circumstances. Charlotte’s most recent K-12 position was that of a district leader responsible for the Literacy instruction and growth of students, teachers, and leaders in a large district. In this position, Charlotte oversaw 10 Literacy Coaches and supported 25 Literacy Interventionists through district operations and grants.
 
Post-secondary Education:
Charlotte’s post-secondary work includes work as an associate professor, assistant dean, department director, and professional development designer. Charlotte led a team of faculty to develop online instructional programs in Literacy and other educator preparation programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. As Associate Director, Charlotte was responsible for quality and compliance of course curriculum, state requirements, and course scheduling at the department level.
 
As Assistant Dean of Educator Preparation, Charlotte was responsible for state-level approval and national accreditation of all educational programs including governance, curriculum, continuous improvement, resources, and success of the educational unit. As Director of the School of Education, Charlotte assumed all responsibility for teaching and learning for all programs, faculty, and student success. In addition to her university responsibilities, Charlotte also contributed to several state-wide professional development programs offered to teachers and leaders.
