MADISON – This year’s Wisconsin Forward Award recipients were recognized Wednesday, November 30 at an award ceremony and gala held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison. The ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of Wisconsin organizations that have benefited from the program’s services and learning opportunities, as well as the thousands of service hours contributed by its volunteer Board of Examiners.
Representatives from eight Wisconsin organizations accepted public recognition for their achievements in the 2016 Award program in three category areas: Mastery, Commitment, and Challenger recognition. The Wisconsin Forward AwardMastery Recognition was awarded to the Muskego-Norway School District (Muskego), Holy Family Memorial (Manitowoc), and MetaStar, Inc. (Madison). Milwaukee County: Department of Administration (Milwaukee) was awarded the Commitment Recognition, and the Challenger Recognition was awarded to Curative Care (Wauwatosa), Department of Employee Trust Funds (Madison), Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services (Milwaukee), and HSHS Western Wisconsin Division (Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls).
The Wisconsin Forward Award Program is designed to recognize Wisconsin organizations that strive to be role models. Modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, WFA’s evaluation process is based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, which provides a framework and criteria to guide organizational performance. Organizations submit a self-assessment to the program for an in-depth review and written feedback from a team of volunteer Examiners.
